Sugarbeat formed back in 2003 to do a few funky gigs around Melbourne just for fun and also for a chance to play music by the artists that greatly influenced our musical paths in many unforgettable ways. We wanted to communicate all this to the punters who appreciate the soul stirring sounds of these artists and as the great Sly Stone said...Daaance to the music...!!

One thing led to another and we kept on giging and then writing our own stuff which the punters got down to and urged us to make a record......so we did. Sugarbeat released their debut record 'Days' in September of 2007 with great success.

Our live shows are now explosive funk soul reviews and apart from originals we play the classic funk soul repertoir.
